Survey "Mobile & Social Marketeers" - how German marketing and sales professionals use mobile internet and social media

Mobile internet and social media are currently top issues for marketing as well as market research professionals. For marketing and sales professionals this topic is exciting in two respects: on the one hand they are planning and considering how to apply profitably social media and mobile marketing for the benefit of their company, on the other hand in many cases they are using social media and mobile internet services themselves for both business and private purposes.

For this reason, rc has been conducting a major survey regarding this topic among marketing and sales managers as well as experts in order to find answers to important questions in this field from August 4th to September 3rd 2010:
  • Which activities in the field of social media marketing are already being conducted by the companies? Which are being planned?
  • How do the respective companies estimate the efficiency of various social media and mobile marketing activities?
  • What are the personal experiences marketing and sales professionals already have and are currently gaining concerning social media and mobile internet? In which way do they influence their marketing activies?
  • Which is the preferred survey method of the marketeers (the survey is optionally being offered as a telephone interview, as an online questionnaire or mobile via smartphone)? Which method is best in order to reach the respondents? Which measures contribute to an increased willingness to participate of such a professional group of respondents?
This multi-mode survey provides methodically and exciting new answers to current issues of market research interest.

As a thank you for their support all participants of this study will receive - before the first publication - an exclusive detailed report including the essential results.

The survey results will be published at the market research fair "Research & Results" which is going to take place on the 27th and 28th October 2010 in Munich. Further publications in the specialised press follow.
