INTERNSHIP

We are constantly looking for committed interns to support our research team. As an intern, you have the opportunity to assist in different research projects and to closely participate in all relevant processes of institutionalised market research - from the questionnaire to the presentation of the results. Candidates should have:

  1. Finished elementary studies or bachelor's degree (ideally: economic sciences, social sciences or psychology)
  2. Interest in empirical research and methods
  3. Experience with standard applications of MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  4. Experience with statistics programs (SPSS, STATA, SAS etc.)
  5. Commitment and willingness to learn
  6. Capacity for teamwork and analytical mindset

If you have already finished your studies or are close to completing your studies, the internship offers an ideal opportunity to increase your chances for subsequent successful career entry into market research.

Compensation:

  1. with B.A. / preliminary diploma or comparable degree: €300 per month
  2. with final degree (Master, Diploma, Magister etc.): by agreement

Duration of the internship: 3 months

APPRENTICESHIP

Market and opinion research investigates a multitude of economic and social issues and provides their clients with guidance by surveying the affected persons for example. Whether customer service is improved because of customer satisfaction surveys, whether products or websites are optimised based on handling tests, whether the sales opportunities of a new product raise hopes for the future or mean a high risk for the business, how advertising is successful or how employees of the company can be motivated in a better way: for all of those topics market research provides answers. Therefore, it is an exciting field of activity for all people who like to examine social and economic topics with systematic number-oriented methods.

The qualified employee for market and social research (German designation: Fachangestellte/r für Markt- und Sozialforschung, short: FAMS) has an eclectic range of tasks at rc. As project assistant he/she supports the organisation and the execution of a majority of project steps relevant in the institute. Such as

  1. Preparation and programming of questionnaires
  2. Organisation and administration of phone, online, or address samples
  3. Editing and controlling the interview progress
  4. Editing and assessing the surveyed data
  5. Creation of graphic reports and presentations
